Visits & Tastings
Regular visits and tastings are organised throughout the year with our wine partners Vignobles Bonfils team who are on hand in the Caveau next to reception.
The Château Capitoul vintages and other wines from their different estates can be enjoyed in the restaurant, or purchased from the Caveau to be drunk in your accommodation, purchases will be added to your final bill, payable on check-out.

Guided E-Scooter tour & Wine Tasting
Explore the wonderful wine territory of Château Capitoul, in the heart of the La Clape appellation, with this exclusive experience. This tour begins with an electric scooter ride through the Bonfils family vineyards, offering spectacular views of the lakes and surrounding garrigue and vines, passing through the charming village of Gruissan as you ride around the peninsula. At the end of your ride you will stop at the Caveau at Château Capitoul where you will have the opportunity to taste five estate wines. Children will be served three grape juices.
Activity includes: 60-minuted guided tour on an electric scooter departing from Château Capitoul followed by the tasting of five Bonfils wines or three grape juices.
Duration: 90 minutes
Price: €49 per person
Schedule: Every Thursday in July and August upon reservation, departure times 9:30am and 11am

The Wines
Wines in the La Clape appellation are a blend of at least two varieties. For the reds, the main grape varieties are: Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, adapted to the heat. In white, Bourboulenc is the most typical and must represent at least 40% of the blend. Both round and fresh, the whites are floral, fruity, mineral and iodized. As for the reds, they are deep, ample and structured, often marked by balsamic notes.

During summer weekly guided walks are organized to learn to recognise the grape varieties that are at the origin of our wines followed by a tasting back at the cellar. Out of season please enquire at the time of booking to check the availability of our guide.
