Asado Brasserie & Méditerranéo Gourmet Restaurant in our Hotel in Narbonne

Two restaurants, two chefs, two identities at Château Capitoul.
Valère Diochet, previously Chef at Château Les Carrasses, has been working at the gastronomic restaurant Méditerranéo since its opening, offering a singular and authentic cuisine.
Jean Landes, a young, dynamic and passionate chef who took over the Asado restaurant, where you will discover a tasty and original cuisine, based on products cooked over a wood fire.
Two different and unique identities, but united by the passion of the kitchen and the product. Valère and Jean transport us into their universe and transmit this passion through a selection of fresh, seasonal and short circuit products, in line with their commitments and values.

Méditerraneo is an intimate gastronomic restaurant situated in the original Château dining room where six bay windows drink in the view of the lagoon through the trees. Here Valère Diochet takes advantage of the huge range of local produce to deliver a confident, flavour-led cuisine with a distinct pan-Mediterranean accent simultaneously rustic and elegant.

Lunch: Orders from 12pm to 1:30pm (last orders), from Friday to Sunday.
Dinner: Orders from 7pm to 9pm (last orders), from Wednesday to Saturday.
Easter menu: Sunday 9 April lunch and dinner and Monday 10 April lunch.

Open to residents and non-residents, pre-booking essential to avoid disappointment.

Asado is named for the wood fired grills and ovens that form its heart. Here local fish and regional meats are charred over vine wood and charcoal accompanied by plates of fresh seasonal salads and vegetable dishes. Inside the original barrel room has been converted into a generous space with a theatrical design. Outside a large sheltered terrace with dining and lounging areas to soak in the views on balmy spring and long summer evenings.

Asado is open to residents and non residents every day of the year for lunch, dinner and special events, reservations strongly recommended.

The Asado terrace bar is open all day to guests and locals, showcasing Capitoul and our other estate wines, as well as superb cocktails, local beers and much more. Summer 2021 willl see regular Friday night Sunset Sessions with laid-back lounge DJ set on the terrace, while Sunday night's After Beach will feature live music from jazz to soul and reggae in the early evening (reservations essential).

From the end of May to the end of September, the Oliveraie pool bar right on the edge of the vineyards is open to residents only from 10am to 7pm, and serves a range of refreshments and snacks.

With a magnificent setting and easy access just a few minutes from Narbonne and the A9/A61 junction, Capitoul's restaurants, bars, wine cellar and terraces offers a superb venue for all kinds of events: from launches to seminars, family gatherings to photoshoots our dedicated events team will help you design your perfect event.


A copious continental breakfast is served on the Asado terrace or in the restaurant : great coffee, bread, croissants and viennoiserie straight from our ovens along with local jams, fresh fruit and juices, cereals, pancakes, eggs, bacon, charcuterie and regional cheeses.

If you prefer to have breakfast in your accommodation, breakfast paniers can de delivered to your villa for 18€ per person, please order the night before. Alternatively fresh bread and pastries can be ordered at reception for collection the next day from 8am onwards.

All self-catering accommodation includes a kitchen fully equipped to take advantage of everything the local markets have to offer, including a high quality plancha - a Mediterranean flat grill for outdoor cooking.  

For those of you who would like to eat in your accommodation, we deliver to your accomodation BBQ pack from Asado arefully selected cuts for the plancha. To accompany your meal a selection of wines, craft beers and soft drinks are available at cellar door prices.

Meanwhile for breakfast freshly baked croissants, bread and pastries are available to take away every morning.
