The Château has 8 luxurious hotel rooms in the original building, ideal for a getaway for two, as well as 44 stylish villas sleeping from 4 to 10 people, all independent and fully equipped for self-catering with a surface area of 90 to 220m², all with terraces and gardens with spectacular views across the vineyards and lagoon, some with a private swimming pool. Our villas are ideal to share with family or friends.

We guarantee access to our hotel rooms from 4pm and check-out at 11am. Due to strict hygiene protocols, please note that check-in for the villas is from 5pm and check-out is at 10am.   

The original Château includes eight refined hotel rooms, a Cinq Mondes spa and Mediterraneo, our gourmet restaurant. Across the courtyard you will discover the wine tasting and sales cellar, as well as Asado, a warm and relaxed brasero-style restaurant with a superb terrace overlooking the lagoon and vineyards. Our large panoramic pool is heated*. Our guests also have access to our tennis court, petanque pitch, bicycles to ride in the 25 acres of park and gardens surrounded by 220 acres of garrigue, olive groves and vineyards around the estate. *heated from April to October, please note that in early and late season the temperature cannot be guaranteed.

Well behaved medium sized dogs are accepted after validation by the management and at an additional cost of 15€ per night.

Our luxury self-catering villas are very family friendly.  However because of the sloping nature of the site we recommend for families with children from 7 years old.  For younger children we recommend our sister hotels Château Les Carrasses Château St Pierre de Serjac. Please note the hotel rooms in the Château are not accessible for children over the age of 3 (except for babies sleeping in a cot).     

Two of our luxury self-catering villas in the hamlet are adapted for people with reduced mobility. Do not hesitate to contact the reservation department to find out more information.

For a moment of downtime together, our Spa has a treatment room for two people, indulge in an intimate dinner in the gastronomic restaurant Méditerranéeo, explore the vineyards together on foot or bike or sample the estates wines in the caveau with a private wine tasting...

The train station at Narbonne is 10 minutes away by car and there are several airports in the area, the closest one is Béziers 30 minutes away.

We have two car parks on the estate, one of which is strictly reserved for guests staying in our self-catering villas in the hameau .

The historic city centre of Narbonne is located about ten minutes from the Château and Gruissan a charming fishing village is 5 minutes away by car.

Château Capitoul is located on the edge of the Massif de la Clape nature reserve, in the Aude department, 5 minutes from Narbonne and 5 minutes from the seaside resort and fishing village of Gruissan.

Narbonne, Gruissan, Leucate, Béziers, Perpignan, Toulouse, we are also just one hour from the Spanish border and 1h30 from the Pyrenees.

Château Capitoul has two restaurants: Méditerranéo, our gastronomic restaurant in the Château, and Asado, a warm and relaxed brasero-style restaurant where local meats and seafood are cooked over vinewood.

The hotel offers a delicious continental buffet breakfast every morning for €20/adult and €10/child. For the self-catering villas in the hameau, take away breakfast baskets are available for €15 per person.

Château Capitoul has a Cinq Mondes Spa, a large panoramic swimming pool, a tennis court, a petanque pitch, a wine cellar and shop where you can taste and purchase wines from the estate, complimentary bicycles are also available for guests.

There is one main heated panoramic pool a short walk from the hotel rooms in the hameau, an indoor swimming pool at the Spa (supplement applies) and several of the luxury villas have their own private pool.

In the cool basement of the Château, the spa is a welcoming and sensual sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation, a place where the joy of life overrides rigid rules and clinical sensibilities.

Indulge in one of our Cinq Mondes treatments or relax in the Balneum, with its heated indoor pool with massage jets, jacuzzi, aromatherapy sauna and steam room.

The Languedoc is a region that offers many opportunities for family outings and adventures. The Mediterranean beaches are just 5 minutes from Château, with beach clubs and sailing schools where you can hire stand-up paddle boards, windsurfs and catamarans. Discover the Parc du Haut Languedoc with its breathtaking gorges and safe river swimming or explore the Cathar castles near Carcassonne or the lively city of Montpellier just over an hour away from Château Capitoul with its aquarium and zoo.
